Everything was perfect, the room was unique, the location was beautiful. Location: the hotel was just next door to the best restaurant in Urgup for an evening meal, and busier Goreme and all the attractions. And it was not too far from Sofra Restaurant, ate there couple of times. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was enjoyable with plenty offood.

More pros than cons, but still.
The cave rooms are stunningly unique, and Nil's hospitality was heartfelt, crafting custom itineraries every morning. Breakfast offered very nice variety, with homemade delicacies, made each morning special.
The steep access road can be daunting, which may deter those with heavy luggage. Occasional Wifi issues can disrupt connectivity during your stay.

Sota Cappadocia offers an very nice boutique experience unlike any other. The rooms are beautifully designed, blending elegance with the unique rustic charm of a cave. I stayed in a Beautiful Double Room with a private terrace that provided fine views of the surrounding landscape. Every morning began with an exquisite breakfast spread that included locally sourced ingredients and delicious homemade pastries. The staff, particularly Nil, stands out for her really good hospitality. She took the time to discuss itinerary options each day and made sure we had everything we needed. The steep access road can be a bit challenging, especially for those who may have mobility issues. While the hotel has a cozy charm, the lack of air conditioning was nice, despite the room being well-equipped otherwise. The personalized service and gorgeous setting were great, though some updates in HVAC and accessibility could enhance comfort significantly.

Lovely views across multiple hotel levels. Unique design that combines elegance with comfort, showcasing beautiful furnishings throughout.
Room temperature became uncomfortable overnight without AC, and the lack of flyscreens on windows reduced privacy. The WiFi dropped out occasionally, forcing reliance on mobile data for work.

We stumbled upon a hidden gem in Turkey - a gorgeous and cozy cave hotel. The room, with its warm and peaceful atmosphere, was like stepping back in time with its 200-year-old cave style. The interior design, with its soft pastel colors and minimal decor, truly embraced the concept of "less is more." The cleanliness and simplicity of the hotel added to the authentic and magical experience. And the breakfast, prepared in the best Turkish traditions, was a delight. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, recommending great restaurants and assisting with all our needs. And language was no barrier, with English, Turkish, Tatar. I highly recommend this hotel for a special and enchanting stay in Cappadocia.
